We've purchased our plane tickets aka our billets! Woohoo! We got two round trip tickets for ~ $650 each! Our return dates are different of course. We'll be leaving on September 16th and arriving in Germany on the 17th. Stephanie or Tony will pick us up from the airport. It's starting to feel too real. It's a little scary!!
Now that I know what airline we're flying, I'm able to actually see what baggage restrictions there are. I assumed already that I could check one bag for free > 50 lbs and a carry on. I plan for my carry on to be the bag that Aunt Debbie & Uncle Dave bought me for graduation, but it just barely fits the size requirements. Lets all cross our fingers for that. I will shove that bag in any way that I need to to get it to fit under my seat or over my head!!
Here's a picture of it the day Aunt Debbie took me shopping for it:
I love it because it looks like a giant purse. It's simple but classy! We bought a clip so I can attach it to my big suitcase and roll them together. It also has a zippered pouch that a handle pulls out of so it can transform into a rolling bag itself. It was a 3 bag kit and came with a small toiletry bag and a briefcase sort of bag. The briefcase shaped bag will be perfect for me to take to work! I hadn't even thought of what I would transport things I need in. Also this bag will be perfect for my travel around Europe. I have no reason to bring a huge suitcase for a trip to Italy or Germany!
This all is working out perfectly, tickets & luggage alike. Even after all of the stress! It gives me hope for current & future situations that are stressful. Everything will work out for the best in the end.
BONUS:
Learn to pronounce un billet! Which is just one ticket not multiple. Sorry, but it's not "bill-its."
